The Spectrum and ADSR analysis of different kinds of harpsichords
David, Václav ; Peloušek, Tomáš (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
The work deals with the issue of temporal analysis of the variable frequency spectrum of the harpsichord and its amplitude envelope in time. In the introduction, the creation is described, what type of instrument the harpsichord is, the history of the instrument is also described, and above all, the construction and principle of tone are described. In the following part, we deal with the measurement of the output signal itself, followed by its spectral analysis, where the topic of sound color and the behavior of the harmonic series of the tone are discussed. The formation of inharmonicity in individual registers of the harpsichord is being examined, and the last subchapter focuses on the sharpness of tone over time.
Web applications supporting education of audio signals generation and processing
Tkadlec, Vojtěch ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of the diploma thesis was the creation of 3 web applications for interactive support of studying courses in the area of digital signal processing using the programming language JavaScript, the markup language HTML, and the Web Audio API interface. The topics included additive synthesis, ADSR time envelope, amplitude modulation, and approximation of 1D signals using discrete cosine transform. The written part of the thesis also focuses on the tools used for the practical part of the thesis. For better understanding of the topics, four web applications were created, and a separate web application was created specifically for the topic of ADSR envelope.
Klasifikátor založený na inverzních hodnotách indexů II. teorie a příloha
Jiřina, Marcel ; Jiřina jr., M.
A theory of a new method for the classification of data into classes is presented. The method is based on the sum of reciprocals of neighbors' indexes. We show that neighbors' indexes are in close relation to the approximate polynomial transform of the neighbors' distances. The sum of the reciprocals of indexes for all neighbors forms truncated harmonic series due to a finite number of its elements. For the neighbors of one class there is a sum of the selected elements of this truncated series. It is proved that the ratio of these sums gives just the probability that the point to be classified - the query point - is of that class.

The classification ability is demonstrated on real-life data from the Machine Learning Repository and the results are compared with published results obtained through other methods.
